Spent a bit of the Afternoon putting stuff in back garden back now the fence and work have been done. The path repair may last till first frost if it's lucky. Then off round the front to prune the climbing rose, which gave me a chance to check up on the front drain. The cowboys really are the gift that keeps on giving. The fixed fence panel they've used 6 inch nails so they got knocked back. Off cuts stuffed by the grate, got thrown back over. Then spotted sand just pouring out under the fence near the drain. Can't get the drain grill off as they've broke the drain so its jammed. Looked down it to find it's full of sand. 
. Been waiting for next door to come back, just told her and she's not happy with a few other things. Surprise , surprise she told me it was the cheapest one she could find. So Monday they are coming back, turns out neither of us will be in.
