Morning . I just looked out of our window and our cars look fluffy! It looks like we might have had a sprinkling of snow .

They have just announced that inflation has dropped to 10.5%. Is that on top of the previous 10.5+% ?

Yup, one of the definite downsides of EVs...

It's not like you can pop to the local garage for a gallon of petrol to stick in the tank.

There is a great deal of lack-of-foresight in the push for EV.

Ah! 17 twelve volt batteries wired in series should do !

Very white and crisp underfoot dog walk this morning only me , the dog and a few birds about.
Almost went over on a patch of ice now covered by this morning hoarfrost. Remembered the edge at one end is safe to walk on so made it over in time.

Garden birds have been fed and a couple of be skittish magpies were first down for the mealworm .

The weather wasn't as bad as it sounded earlier. Some rain mixed with snow and sleet. Walk completed. There must have been quite a bit more snow overnight as the roads are white and cars getting stuck again.

The Tesla has gone somewhere. I'm always curious about the fact that it's always plugged in whilst parked. Either he has a seriously long commute or battery range isn't as good as it is supposed to be.

Slight dusting of snow this morning but it was melting on contact with the ground. This was just as well because I had to go to an office in the local county town. Now the ground is wet but the clouds are thinning and there's occasional sunshine. No sign of the Kandel yet though; that had snow on it yesterday so I expect today it'll be fairly deep.

TIme to drive the van to another part of the company and help one of my clients organise his work area.

Overcast and looks like sleet so far but slightly less cold at 2.6C this morning.
Rain showers for Thursday so I hope my path melts before I have to go out. Just now looking at it there seems to be solid ice or hard packed snow due to post and a delivery driver coming and going. I can go down the grass bit but the steps look bad. I may go out later and scatter some salt around as a neighbour got a bag of road salt and left it beside my doorway just inside the porch.
Monday's bins have not yet been emptied.

I have just been out to feed the birds and check up on the Hedgehog hotel . The Sun is shining brightly . Our pond has become stiff! There was a frog in there the other day.
Something has been eating the food that I have been putting in the hotel for the Hedgehog so I topped that up with biscuits and some fat pellets.

warming to almost 50F degrees today. ride time after work it will be down to mid-high 30s. the rail-trails should be free of ice & snow. we shall see
