Early start. Sat up in bed planning assault on the NHS. Not life threatening condition but needs attention.

Round 1 is getting through the outer defences and establish a bridgehead in the phone queueing system.
Then ordeal by " your call is important to us" "you are number x in a queue"

Hey, ho....he said implying enthusiasm he doesn't have.

Good Luck. I know when I cut my arm open in the summer I should have gone to A&E for it stitching, but it had stopped bleeding so just patched it up with hydro colloid plasters. Went a bit gunky for a couple of weeks, but it's healed with a big scar.

Morning .
I seem to be over the worst of this virus !
Thanks to all the people who developed and delivered the vaccines it seems to have been no worse than a bad cold. I still have a bit of a cough and still have no sense of smell.
We had clear sky last night but I didn't see any signs of the Northern Lights.

I didn't have the vaccine & that's what COVID was like for me.

Tree at the top of a steep wooded slope, the swing went very high, I lost my grip when I was a long way up, fell into the debris at the bottom of the slope and badly skinned the outside of one of my thighs, looking back I'm surprised I didn't break something.

I suppose most kids outside of inner cities had such home made playpoints. We had one over a burn and if you fell off you got wet at best.

We currently at least do not have that problem. I phoned yesterday about 1100 and was at GP by 1500. She was a bit late taking me in but apparently getting up to date on my medical records.
This may change when touroid invasion starts as many of them wait for holidays to go and waste time with a GP who used to complain bitterly but had subtle ways of punishing them.

Today's cheery text message from Calmac tells us that due a single small ferry operating no further bookings will be taken until the backlog is cleared. No time scale mentioned.
There is apparently a medical travel priority system which may help but not dependable.
I mentioned to the GP yesterday that the ferry problems may impact on my ability to keep an Oban hospital appointment
"Any problems just phone the surgery and we will give them a verbal kicking " was the approximate answer.

Just as a side issue the sun has not appeared today but still dry and less cold.
