No idea which ones but some of the Scottish islands had no need for MOT. The smaller ones such as Canna for example did not need mot so long as the vehicle never left the island. Strangely island based lorries but cannot remember the sizes now were allowed no testing and could leave the island for essential journeys. I doubt that still applies tho'.

It's the same here as cars registered on the islands are test exempt and taxed at a very cheap rate but they cannot be driven on the mainland.

On a cycling day trip to Inisheer once, I was trying to work out why someone would need a top of the range V6 Renault Laguna to drive around an island four miles long. I'm sure there must be loads of opportunities to use all that power and luxury!

Morning all. Bit of a surprise this morning to wake up to heavy snow, although it was the 'wet' snow that doesn't settle. It made the morning commute quite interesting - and cold!

My head looks a bit like Neelix from Star Trek what's it's name with all the blotches on it . At least some of the scabs are now coming off.
In other news my lateral flow test has turned out negative .

Darn it. It's still very much about. My son has it, but we've not been in contact with him as we weren't home at weekend, and he was away with work Thurs/Fri. Just found out my colleague, who I sit three feet from, tested positive at weekend as she's been rough all week - just thought it was a cold. She's in work now !

Because I'm lazy, I stick shop bought triple cooked chips in the air fryer - 17 mins at 170°C. No need to add any oil because they've been cooked in dripping.

Pretty much what I do, although I may not do them as long. I do much the same with the fish, putting the fish on the chips.

It only seems a couple of days ago that it was a half moon. Apparently, it's a worm moon. Or, if you're in maple territory, it's a sugar moon.

It's nice of my bank to provide a big tank of tropical fish to look at while you stand in a queue and ponder why they have four serving hatches but only open one whilst a group of employees stand around playing with their phones.
