Spent an hour on Saturday adjusting chain alignment until it was just so - as one does. The dividend was apparent on my Sunday morning ride ..... everything worked 'lickety split', silently, and without effort. The joy of riding on a well-tuned bike!

I'm being plagued by naughty socksy videos ! I'm wondering if the person who was selling something or not on the book of faces has directed them at me ?
I don't know it's just a thought ! I have messaged him a couple of times but haven't had a reply. Not sure if there is any other place that I have visited which would be doing it .

Busy morning so far.. Tea drinked, yogurt & stewed apple eaten for breakfast. Grease filter changed in the cooker extraction fan thingies. Washing up soaking in the bowl preparatory to applying the dishcloth...
Edit: bulb loosened and retaining ring slackened off so MrsPete can put a new lampshade up in the small front bedroom once she's bought one today.
And it's not even 08:00 yet!! 😲

That reminds me that the lamp in the uplighter packed up last night. It's an Edison Screw LED jobbie. They usually fail because the manufacturer cheaps out on the driver electronics, the LED's themselves are usually fine.
Off to Screwfix this morning 💡💡

SWMBO is recording a video downstairs for the NHS Nutrition and Hydration Week (she's a Dietitian), which starts on Monday.
36 takes so far from what I perceive, so it's not going well ... but ... she should have done it yesterday so I've no sympathy. And I'm keeping out of the way.

I lay the scales in exactly the same spot every time to eliminate any differences in levels so I doubt if the scales are the problem.

Strange weather.
At 0730 this morning it was 9.2C and no wind. It was windy during the night as I notice my nearest neighbour has taken his flags down.
Forecast for tomorrow onwards is back to low temperatures again.
Got a couple of strange phone calls on my mobile from a number almost identical to my own but the last two numbers have been transposed. Whoever it is never answers and rings off immediately. I thought I had blocked the number after the first one but it would seem not.
This number gave me a few problems some years ago when a care home worker somewhere in southern England with a new phone gave out the wrong [ ie my ] number and I kept getting her phone calls until it was corrected.
No plans for today but I may try fighting Calmac again to get ferry bookings.
