I can top that i've still not found a Christmas present I bought Mrs 73 last Christmas. The other things with it I found in time just not this one.

Pity, she would have loved that kitten.

Turned out a better day than expected but still showers which discourage me from getting the trike out on the road.
Sky looks very black and wet in a southerly direction and it is getting colder for the weekend.
Working on the logistics of getting to Oban for an endoscopy. My son in Taiwan should be home in time to ferry me around but he has been struck down by a virus infection which may delay his return. Need to wait anyway until they get in touch and I can try to get things sorted then. Calmac bookings may be a problem but with a hospital appointment I should have priority assuming they have got their shambolic system sorted by then. The shambolic remark came originally from a Calmac employee.

Another recent scam I got was a warning that my icloud storage is full and unless I contact somebody to pay money then everything will be deleted.

Time to feed the cats, and then it will be time to feed me.

Builders have been working in the hated holiday house opposite and demolishing some outdoor steps.
A neighbour took her car out and they immediately had a small lorry in the space with a narrow metal runway up to the tailgate for a guy with a wheelbarrow to take the rubbish up and tip it in the back. Runway looked pretty narrow but it did remind me of my farming days and mucking the byre out.
We had about 40 milking cows and in winter there was plenty every morning to wheel out to the midden.
The system was that one loaded the barrow and the other took it out and changed places every trip.
If you overloaded the barrow the other got their revenge next run and there was also an element of competition.
The midden was about 7 or 8 ft high by spring and the trick was to get a good run at it with as much speed as possible at the bottom of the plank which got pretty slippy.
My co worker Wee George misjudged his speed one day and was going so fast he failed to stop at the top tipping point and went straight over into the quite deep slurry still holding the barrow shafts. He had to get hosed down before he was allowed inside to get changed.
Took the rest of us half an hour to calm down and stop laughing. Easily done tho’.

A few weeks ago the owner of my apartment said he'd soon be doing 'a bit of garden work'. Today this was the view when I got back from work:
