Flipping cold wind so cycle jacket hood up under the helmet for the trip to Waitrose on the ebike this morning.
Voucher problems again in that the ones I used on Wednesday were still active although expired, sure I had deleted them. Still ended with a free, thick, Times and a £1 off the shopping.
Freee oat bars were on offer at £2.10 so picked up the apple and sultana ones to add variety to the snacks for road bike rides.
The sun briefly appeared on the return which triggered off an outbreak of drizzle for the ride home.

Why wot & why not..
Thinking the same re batteries depends how much amp hours you want. Some are a too cheep and poor quality, other's are massively over priced. Some are a good balance between the two.
Surprise message from my best mate we've not seen each other for months. Asking if i'm free for a catch up so off out soon. Be good to see him even though we don't get much of chance to meet up. It will be as if we'd only spoke yesterday like true friends always are.

I'm out of practice at this going out for the day thing after a winter off. Packed my bag before leaving, stopped off at Decathlon on the way for a new insulated mug, got to Brands Hatch, opened bag, removed water, gas stove, pot for water and ... that was it! I'd left the jar of coffee at home

Along with a surprising number of things we have no magpies here. Do have lots of other predators tho’ which kill everything edible to them or not.

I have lived in a couple of places with resident peacocks. Noisy brutes particularly early morning. One local one went walkabout and mobs chased it back home due to the noise.

Managed to avoid riding through any floods. Haven’t seen this ford like this in over 30 years. Two drivers immediately turned round at either side. A BMW driver thought It’d be fine, and went for it, but soon changed their mind and reversed out. Shame I was looking forward to them becoming a boat with a non functional engine. Didn’t he realise if cyclists are taking pictures of flooded fords, rather than riding through them, it generally means it’s well beyond most drivers and their cars.
