I had a dream last night where I flew on Concorde across the Atlantic for only £36.

We didn't fly supersonic and we landed somewhere and taxied about in what looked like a housing estate for a while, before taking off again.

Oh and it was Air France and at night.
Very odd.

A bitsas supper tonight. Soup, then a random selection of chipolatas, salmon in watercress sauce, clapshot, chips, buttered savoy cabbage and a slice of pizza.

Now sat watching England v Brazil.

I walked out of the gents toiilets at work this morning straight into a line of 'No Entry' tape and the admin person who was just applying a secont line. It turns out that the ground floor ones are now out of bounds due to concerns about legionella . Why it's just the ground floor and none of the others remains a mystery.

We are already under investigation by Environmental Health into the complaints from the nearby housing estate about the electronic bird scarer which 1) doesn't work as gulls often stand right next to the speaker while it is going off and 2) keeps going off at radom times overnight at full volume!

Just booked tickets for me and MrsF for Jack Whitehall in June, plus the local travel lodge near Manchester Arena. Whilst at it, looked at the date of the Peter Kay show we have tickets for, and it's Jan 24, so managed to get the same hotel for the same price (£53.99) this far in advance. It's a Friday, so the prices will usually be around £150, probably more nearer the time.

An early June Saturday night in central Leeds Travelodge set me back £85 when I booked yesterday - it does pay to book early. The best one was EasyHotel that wanted an extra £5 for a room with a window

got home, cleaned out the car & did some raking of the yard

pretty glad we don't own an actual house. we're in a condo & have an end unit. we like to tidy up more than the 'condo association' is willing to do

my Mother's house had a main sewer blockage which eventually forced effluent up out of the basement toilet. it was a big disaster & there is ongoing remediation & soon (we hope) to be renovations & finish work. I fear it will take all summer & it will be too much stress for my 93 yr old mother. I sometimes think of all there worst outcomes but hope for better

so I got an old used car, for cheap money & put new wheels & tires on it
black on black isn't my 1st choice, but sometimes one rolls w/ the punches
