In early distillery days the office manageress organised a bus to take the whole dayshift to a donation centre and timed it so she also got the back shift coming on as well as early shift going off. Nobody dared to refuse especially the manager who had do some creative reorganising which was not easy.
They have not wanted mine since 1981 when I had a cancer diagnosis but I still have a blue card somewhere which you got to record your donations.
I still have my blue book somewhere, too. I'll have to see how many stamps I need added to it as this is my 65th donation today.

Currently mild and sort of sunny here chez Casa Reynard, though it did rain early doors and more is forecast for later.
Did not sleep well - brain wouldn't switch off. So I'm feeling rather grumpy today. So I have had a morning spent largely watching the snooker. I do have a load of stuff to tackle this afternoon including a tip run.
I must also not forget to buy a spare 100w (equivalent) lightbulb on my way home, as the bulb in the sitting room went *ping* the other day. I am not a fan of Tesco own brand lightbulbs as I find they do not last as long as the ones from Wilkinsons.
Madam Lexi presented me with two pygmy shrews this morning. Madam Poppy has slept the morning away.
It is time for luncheon.
