Today I won 2 model Dinky cars on the bay . I only wanted one but the bay took so long in deciding who's bid won that I bid on a similar car and won that . 7 minutes it took before they told me I had won the first model !

Hazy sunshine most of the day but still cold wind.
Went up to my sunny spot and found a half eggshell just outside. Probably a starling but a bit of a mystery as to where it came from. The only theory I can come up with is that the egg hatched and the shell chucked out of the nest and was windblown. Cannot see a nest anywhere but not looked in a leanto I have behind my shed which is a likely place for a starling to nest.
We have a very small colony of starlings and one sits somewhere near my shed making a dreadful din just now.
Earlier I was down on Main St and Openreach or BT are causing traffic chaos with 3 way traffic lights and in one direction there is not enough space for a delivery van to get past due to some idiot touroid parking. Went up to the dump and there are road closed signs. I asked an Openreach guy working on a box at the roadside where the closure actually was and he said he had no idea but just continue anyway. I did so and met no closed roads.

Had a lovely luncheon earlier of taramasalata on toast, fruit and tea.
Dropped off the parental's prescription, acquired two cans of fuel for the mower and a sack of cat litter. Ended up going to Soham for the latter, as the nearest place only had catsan or breeder's celect. Managed to pick up a 24 litre sack of a similar litter to what the girls use (corn-based, biodegradable), with the added bonus that it was reduced to clear as the bag was damaged.
Had a jacket potato with coronation chicken and a selection of steamed veg for supper.
Now listening to Arsenal v Chelsea.
