Grumblin at Garmin on the Granny Gear
As the morning progressed the weather improved apart from one shower of rain.
Never managed to get out on the trike but checked my usual route out by car as there are roadworks ongoing. Bits have been resurfaced but there are still some nasty potholes not attended to.

Last week the lifeboat and coastguard had to turn out to rescue a touroid frightened to return along a path to the lighthouse.
No idea why they did not just go up and along the edge of the golf course.
By chance I came on a photo which does demonstrate the problem for the nervous on this path. It shows my wife in winter gear walking back towards the town. There is nothing on her left to hinder a fall and at the corner in front of her there is not even vegetation to give a visual barrier.

Yep, I'd have trouble there.

Another damp start but beginning to brighten up bit now.
Nothing planned but may go and look for some missing eye drops at the chemist. Always "they might be here tomorrow".

Calmac have now gone paperless for ticketing and as I have a booking but no tickets I await developments with a degree of trepidation.
Apparently I will get a new booking number and a thingy on my phone instead of a card ticket.
Michelle in our local office has prudently gone on holiday probably to avoid the flack.
Pessimist?
Me?
Perish the thought.

Great when there's a phone signal.

My elderly mother has fallen again and broken both bones in her wrist this time . Currently waiting to hear how the surgery went. Also trying to distract myself by wondering what the best bike would be to use when I’m down there. Anything bigger than a folder would require family agreement for it to live in one of their garages while I’m not there. There’s only my sister who has a bike and hers is way too big for me.

Great when there's a phone signal.

I have never so far had a problem with vodaphone but the south end complain constantly of no signal from any provider but they complain about anything down there.
Before Openreach BT removed the spare wheels from all it’s vans. When a pal of mine complained he was told that since he was provided with a phone he only had to phone a tyre company to come out to fix a puncture.
He was quite restrained in his reply when pointing out they had omitted to provide a signal.
His spare wheel was in the end not removed.
