I have overdosed on motor racing today, hence my absence earlier. The BTCC meeting from Thruxton was great, especially all the Mini races. Would really recommend watching them on Motorsport UK.

One of our lasses is a wee sod for stealing off my plate; depending on what I'm eating. She sits there and suddenly a claw extended paw move at lightspeed and there's a tasty morsel being scoffed - !

I'm very excited!!! 
I'm going to see Depeche Mode in Oslo on August 11th. I'll be in France but was able to change my flights. So, instead of spending 4 days in Paris before heading home, I'll be spending those days in Oslo.

I'm aching ! I will be resting today . I have now done over 90 miles on my Viscount . It s the most I have cycled in just over a week . The bank holiday intervened. I'm surprised that a cheap bike has turned out to be so successful.

A decent night's sleep after my 600km audax at the weekend, where 60 minutes in the car was all I got. Basically I turned it into a glorified café tour

Sunshine again.
Got caught by another tick in a very awkward place at the back of my upper right leg about where my underpants stop. I suppose junction of leg and bum sums it up.
Magnifying mirror and torch deployed with a pair of needle nose tweezers so I think I got it out cleanly with no bits left behind.
I never seem to have any success with the fancy tools sold for tick removal and needle nose tweezers are the best IMO.
These bl---y things seem to infest my garden as I was not in any other vegetation yesterday. Deer have been excluded for a couple of years now so a bit of a mystery where they come from.
Need to do some tidying of the weeds beside my front path today I think and I will now go out and open a window in my car to let the air through and temp down a bit.
