Sure enough after the sun appeared this morning rain came behind but it did not last and it turned out a nice day if you disregarded the black thunderclouds hovering around.
Had a walk today to try to increase my distance without falling over and then came back to the main car park. It was jammed and the disabled spaces full with cars with no blue badges.
Spoke to one family getting out of their car who said they had no blue badge and could park wherever they fancied and I should go and park about half a mile away. My answer was unprintable so I just came home and sat in my garden.
One large white butterfly is all I have seen this year but a fair number of assorted bees on my red clover.
House sparrows are the most common birds with the occasional chaffinch and even more occasional blue tit, wren and goldfinch. The blackbirds and thrushes we had earlier seem to have moved away but still a few collared doves.

Time to feed the cats, and then it will be time to feed me.

Well.. I went for a ride this afternoon to, firstly pick up summat from Halfrauds, then onto No1 daughter's to fit a camera system.
I got 20 minutes into the ride and it started raining. Then it started very very raining!!
By the time I got there, my 'showerproof' jacket had given up 😂
I dried out slightly and borrowed a dry T Shirt but my shorts shoes & socks were wringing wet.

Suffice it to say, when I got home and stripped off the soggy clothes I was doing a very good impression of a button mushroom!
