We are leaving the balmy SE coast of England at 4am on Saturday. First night Fort William then onto Skye for the second night before sailing to the Uists.Snowing here in Inverness, huge flakes too, at least 50mm across
Tonights ride may be off the cards...
Not sure if we go near Inverness but if so can you ensure the roads are clear for Southern softies please

Some friends I know drove to Skye. The map-savvy friend was in the back, not paying attention to the route cos the driver and front seat passenger had been to Scotland loads of times before and were following the satnav.We are leaving the balmy SE coast of England at 4am on Saturday. First night Fort William then onto Skye for the second night before sailing to the Uists.

Then they pulled up at the dock at Mallaig, and the sat nav told them there was 9 hours to wait for the ferry. Map-savvy friend in back
and wishing she'd been paying attention at Fort William.Turn around, drive back to Fort William, take the correct road for the Skye bridge.
Hint: do not turn left just north of Fort William. The signpost for the Road to the Isles may try to lead you astray...
