Supposed to be very cold and snow showers but it is still 3.9C and no sign of snow. There are signs of a slight covering on the highest mountains I can see but nothing serious so far and little wind.
People who come here to live and then start to ask around for information on basics which any sensible person would have sussed out before deciding never cease to make me wonder about the general level of stupidity of incomers.
We checked that there were all the amenities we needed and even checked the local youth groups for our kids before making a final decision.
The coop discontent rumbles on and has now exceeded the numbers asked for a petition to change the shop status. I was not aware that among other omissions they never stocked oranges for some strange reason and one of my neighbours has been arguing with them for the past year on this issue alone.
I reckon if I have to go to Oban to get oatmeal I might as well just get the rest of my foodstuff there as well and it now appears I am far from being alone in this.

Administrators for insolvency are in my experience not to be trusted in anything. They may well have sold your property on to the highest bidder. I worked alongside such people at a company which went into administration and was not impressed.
I also once lost a presentation watch in for repair and they just binned it apparently.

Just been reading that Greenacres Garden Centre on Ashby road Stapleton is to close.Competition from Doobies Garden Centre has caused them to make to close An application has been made to develop the land for residential housing
Local cyclist quite often used the cafe which had a good reasonable priced menu.

I have cooked, the Hairy Bikers’ Jambalaya is now doing its thing on the hob. Laundry is in progress and I am now doing my thing on the sofa with a coffee.

Rain has indeed stopped. Needed to do one of my least favourite jobs, changing a quarter turn ceramic tap washer. The Kitchen cold tap was dripping. Now, you know this will never be straight forward. Turned water off removed 'cartridge' - rest of the family - have you left us water... grrrr. Popped out to hmebase and the only cartridges weren't an exact match, but I have no water and a leaky tap - will have to do. Got home and striped the new one for parts. Top ceramic washer wouldn't fit existing tap cartridge due to slot size, so only used the new bottom washer, and also the rubber seal. Even the splined top was different. So I've now got a load of spare bits, but a fixed tap !

As the rain has stopped, I've also washed 3 cars ! Roast beef for later I thinks, in a honey and mustard glaize !

Have you checked trip adviser the last ones may have left bad reviews putting off new bookings.
