Mild, grey and breezy here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well and have spent the morning puttering around doing a few bits and bobs. A bit of kitchen time calls later this afternoon, as well as seeing if I've un-gummed the nozzle thing from my printer.

Have to go back to the drawing board with that photo of the ex-Howard Cole car in the white & blue Warwick Trailers livery that I *thought* was from a meeting at Wimbledon on NYE of '83, because after having compared it last night with a load of other photos of known venues, it's very definitely been taken at Aldershot. The row of houses in the background is too distinctive. So it's back to establishing a date for it, because I can't have two versions of the same car at the same meeting.

Based on other snippets of information in my possession, the correct photo for the 31st March meeting is the one of the car in its teal & yellow Windmill Services livery with the blue roof grade. So it has to be earlier in the time frame, still winter '83 / '84, but almost certainly before 25th February.

Anyways, luncheon awaits. Time to put the kettle on.

Into work, dodging the picket line, to discover one of the two seminars I was supposed to be facilitating has been taken off me. I *knew* it was being considered, because I'm over my limit for the year, but it'd have been nice to let me know. However, just 3-5pm to be done from now on rather than 1-3pm and 3-5pm. Oh, and I do do other things as well ...

... and on another note I worked out I've done over 1100 miles on the Holdsworth Roi de Velo track bike since getting it a year ago to replace my 'learner' track bike. That's an awful lot of going round in an oval only one direction. Over 6400 laps worth going round, and round, and round, and round, and round, and round, and round, and round, and round, and round, and round, and round, and round ...

Wow, that’s a lot of laps! 😮😎

Off on a social errand at 11:15. Dropped my phone - deader than a Norwegian Blue
Cannot use bike without phone.

Have to drive a 5 minute cycle ride that requires 15 minutes in the car.

Now trying to get spare, substitute phone and bike to Bluetooth each other.

Can Bluetooth neighbour's kettle! What is that about?

Why do you need to Bluetooth you bike and phone, sounds as bad as a Bluetooth kettle.

oh good point. when we have warm winters, or just a warm spell in February, we see flowers sprouting prematurely. I forget what they are called. I think they are purple

My snowdrops are usually in flower in January and at least once in December. They are sometimes hidden by snow which does not seem to do them harm.
Strange thing is that the ones on my wife’s grave flower about a month later than the ones near the house. They are from the same bulbs replanted and on the same level above the sea.
