Turns 3 & 4 in the photo are 38 degrees, turns 1 & 2 at the other end are 43 degrees. And yes, it's steep.

I do... Although there's a part of me that thinks it's not a terribly good idea, but the mathematics (as long as you can build up a good head of steam) disagrees.

Actually, a kart would be a hell of a lot of fun on that...

1988 /89 I worked for Geoscan who ran a Sports 2,000 car .

Ah. Sports 2000 is a totally different beast to a FF2000.

One is a sportscar pitched at club racing, and the other is a wings-and-slicks single seater. Both powered by 2-litre engines, though.

1. Keep pedalling, or the back end will kick up and you may fall off.
2. If you want to go higher pedal faster (there's ways to go high and slow, but not for a beginner).
3. Look before you move.

And no, you can't put a go-kart on it but you can put a motorbike on for derny racing.

I'd love to try, but realistically I'm far too slow a cyclist and so am likely to a) be a danger to others and b) end up in that crumpled heap that you mention. I'm flat out at 14 or 15 mph...

Thank you both. Twig the fig now moved from a north facing room to a south facing room, hopefully out of the cats' reach.

We had a fig when first we were married, I referred to it as The Resurrection Tree because something would happen to it, or it would get dry and lose it's leaves, and still it would bounce back, with care and attention. Pretty safe bet, as a house plant.

Love the effect, but it's a very smudgy business. My putty rubber is earning its keep this evening.
