My solar trickle charger for the car arrived yesterday. I plugged it into the OBD (on board diagnostics) port as the cigarette socket has no power when not using car. Hopefully means I don’t have to take car for a run just to keep battery topped up. Car is 14 years old now, so it’s done it’s depreciating. If public transport and bikes ever got good I’d probably get rid of the car. But as it is, when I do use it, it’s very useful indeed. It doesn’t really do short local trips as I prefer the bike (or walking) for that providing I’m not trying to transport a large thing.

Could you move the power socket onto the non-ignition circuit or might that constitute a fire risk? 🤔 🔥

My laptop spent most of yesterday downloading and installing the Windows update.

Today, I found that lots of settings have been changed back to default, so I'm having to reset them to how I like them. In particular, the touchpad was turned back on. I can't get on with a touchpad because I catch it by accident all the time. The only place I could turn it off was Device Settings, because the disable option in Action Centre Settings has disappeared.

Bloody Microsoft, and their "The customer is never right" attitude!

hmmm also no display here ... wonder why

It works if you click the link. To get it to display you need to use the picture icon, select the link icon and paste the .jpg into it.

(You've uploaded plenty of pics in the past so I've just told you something you already know....)

Thankfully the car crash that's Microsoft is a distant memory.

Not sure this is good idea but I have been invited up to the surgery for a “ chat “.
Weather still damp but feels milder even tho’ only 8C.

We used to have pond with lots of frogs and newts. May still be mostly there under a buddlia which is out of control but I cannot be bothered resurrecting it.
