Why do people think just leaving things in a sink is the same as washing up

yup. Wifey loved to leave stuff in the sink, including the straw brush I bought for her & the sponge. consequently they get all kinds of gross stuff dripped on them. KEEP THE CLEAN THINGS CLEAN ... oops sorry for ranting there. get a hold of yourself man!

Why do people think just leaving things in a sink is the same as washing up

1. Well-buttered scrambled eggs with Italian cheese are every bit as good as good cake.
2. Because the next time they dump things in the sink, the old stuff will invariably have washed itself up and put itself back in the cupboard. (This, unfortunately, is not true if you live alone.)

Oh, and while I was furkling, I found a dead bird of prey. It's quite small, so likely a kestrel, a hobby or something of that ilk. Hard to tell whether it's been shot, poisoned or had succumbed to bird flu. Moved it away from what will be my work area with a couple of long sticks and shoved it in the hedge.

Given you've cats, you'd have been better burning it.

Lovely supper of sliced gammon topped with a fried egg, roasties jazzed up in the deep fat fryer, plus green beans and red cabbage.

Mmmm, the girls are largely indoor and they don't go that far into the garden. But I may bag it up and pop it in the green bin as they collect on Thursday morning.
