It just shows everyone is different and has different viewpoints. I just find the ride quality very poor on anything other than well surfaced main roads as it's so fidgety and unsettled with not enough suspension travel for an Irish bog road. The steering has very little feel to it and gives a very disconnected driving experience. Mine is a base model so perhaps others have better sound deadening but I also find road noise extremely intrusive. It does the job but it's not a car you could ever enjoy driving imo. It was a real eye-opener yesterday to see how smooth,quiet and refined the Yaris I test drove yesterday was in comparison.
I also can't ignore that I have spent more maintaining it for 5,000 miles than I spent maintaining my 205 for 180,000 miles. I really will be so pleased to get shot of it.

Driving style comes into it as well, as does the engine type. Mine's got the 1.4 normally aspirated, which is surprisingly sprightly. I do love embarrassing people in poncy cars on the motorway.
Yes, it does have its shortcomings - it's a bit slow from a standing start, and the steering is on the light side, but when it's all hooked up, it just seems to float effortlessly. As I said, maybe it just suits my driving style.

It is too easy to lapse into apathy when you have nothing much you can be bothered doing.
However the weather picked up a bit with the very occasional light rain shower so I went off up my wildlife pal’s place to arrange short term covered storage for my Kettwiessel while I to attend to some mainland business and collect my ICE one as I will sell it at some point but not till I am fully converted to the new one.
I was a bit shocked that both his grandchildren were out on new looking motor bikes in his fields. Kids theses days seem to have expensive tastes.
While having coffee he reminisced about some of the weird punters he got when he was Head Ranger as he also did some guided trips to watch sea eagles.
Rearranged my car storage a bit and did some fettling on the new trike which took up most of the afternoon with much returning to get tools or bits I had forgotten so now knackered.
“ Lost” a moderately important A5 folder which was not where such things get temporarily filed (top of a folding table ). Looked everywhere and eventually found it by accident somewhere I would never have left it while searching for something else.
