Dull and damp but not raining so ebiked to Waitriose to use the vouchers I failed with on Saturday, flip were the roads annoyingly busy - not sure I have stopped so many times in such a short distance. Also found a pack of Deep Heat patches on offer at £4.80 and used a voucher for a free copy of today Times - yikes its thin compared to Saturdays. Now to clean the bathroom; have a plumber coming at luchtime to discuss changing the basin (scratched and water sits in the soap dishes) and the rusting towel radiator.

the wind that day was prohibitive but they let us out before they decided it wasn't safe, plus I didn't know enough to drop anchor out in the water, instead of the beach. plus, once I could see we were getting grounded by 2 simultaneous things, outgoing tide AND high wind pushing us onto the beach, me & the kids tore our feet in sandals & flip flops trying to push against the wind, in vain (not vane). had to wait for the tide to come back, but the wind never died, so it was still a hard push but we did get off the beach. got back & boat rental office said they canceled all other rentals right after we left

Happens a lot. I learned on shells, and bumped bottom a bit when I went to vessels with more draft. My next door neighbor just had new boat day. Not a sailboat, so, wrong.

Grey, mild and drizzly here chez Casa Reynard.

Did not sleep well, mind wouldn't switch off and it was daylight when I finally succumbed. Have had a morning sorting out groceries and ingredients and various as I have mucho cooking planned to deal with Sunday's YS bargains. I've also refilled the fruit bowls as they were looking a little bit empty. I've also put the green garden wheelie bin out, as it's being emptied tomorrow.

Will spend the aftternoon a) doing some prep for supper and b) writing.

Anyhoo, it's time for luncheon.

Got a thumping headache here, but wondering why nobody plays the 4 word game. I know there is the 3 word one, but I prefer the 4 word one for some strange reason. 🤷

I've got a bicuspid aortic valve! Never knew that before! It's the first time that anyone doing the echo test has said anything to me. She said that people with that tend to have enlarged aortas which I have . Oh well!
