Found a pair of the missing nail clippers. Fingers on right hand very grateful for the resultant reduced extent of nails.

Beginning to think the measuring jar fell unnoticed into a waste bag and completely stumped by the missing long shoe horn.

As the rain has stopped ebiked to Asda for some shopping and picked up a long shoe horn from the in store Timpsons which will no doubt result in the missing one appearing.

Edit - found the measuring jar. Seems I was looking at it but not recognising it :banghead:

Never seemed to get going today so very little achieved.
This happens from time to time for no apparent reason when I just want to sleep but try not to.
Potted on some seedlings after a massive effort to get off my backside which involved a trip up to my top garden but otherwise went nowhere else. People are walking around in shorts and t shirts but I am still cold indoors with more clothing.
There is a medium size cruise ship anchored in the bay from Hurtigruten Expeditions which is a Norwegian outfit who do more unusual destinations. Goodness knows what the make of the present shenanigans but I doubt if they come here for that.
Mostly passengers get buses to the usual tourist traps and then straight back on board. With the state of the car park where the main landing is the buses would have a problem getting anywhere near the landing stage and the passengers usually seem to be mostly geriatric.
Couple of years ago the motorhomes decided that the bus bays for service buses were a good place to park for the music festival weekend. We had a particularly bolshie bus driver then who simply blocked the main exit or entry to the car park till the police arrived and sorted the mess.

I thought I could have a quiet afternoon in the garden. A Strikemaster and a Vampire disturbed the peace and quiet.

Today was a good day.
Unfortunately wife is under the weather but ok so I entertained myself with a good dog walk over the brick pits, asked our son along. He suffers from PTSD followiing a car crash which killed his friend, he suffers badly from anxiety and depression. We dont always get along, he can be quite 'alternative' in his views. It's a nice day, he loves the countryside and it's a good diversion. We walked for a couple hours, chatted, let the dog run and do his thing, swim in lakes and sniff the whole world.

Chinese takeaway this evening and a bottle of Magners cider,, overall a good day with simple pleasures
