A falcon of some kind probably a peregrine got a pigeon about 50 yards away from me. There was a loud thump and a cloud of feathers. I sometimes find piles feathers in my garden and put it down to hawk attacks. Never found any carcass tho’.

We had two piles of Pigeon feathers in our garden some months back . Same here about not finding a carcase. There is usually a female Sparrow Hawk patrolling the area plus Buzzards fly over from time to time . Whilst out on a ride with my friends last year one spotted a Buzzard just swoop down and take a Pigeon.

It is sort of greyish here. I hope it brightens up.
We are taking our 5 year old to see a model train exhibition in Thornbury this morning .

The Hedgehog lady brought round a hound female hog for us to home yesterday . She put it in the hotel I made earlier this year . The Hedgehog had been poorly and needed nursing for a long time but is now better and desperate to get out . I'll have to pop up and check later to see how she is doing . We had put some food out under a cover for them to use .

Sun is out, breakfast in bed nearly complete and it's going to be another fantastic day out on my bike I think.

First cuppa awaiting me drinking it.
Another hazy blue sky start to the day outside.
No need to feed the garden birds as yesterday's food hasn't been eaten.
I think a pesky little new to the area black cat is scaring them off
