Weeding done, shopping done, grass cut (3 large black plastic sacks of clippings), showered, shaved, burger & chips for tea and a Lidl Magnum lookalike had as a treat. Back to work tomorrow for a rest.

Today is also bill paying day so the Argos card bill has been cleared and the vehicle excise duty paid, while everything else is on either direct debit or auto card payments. All that was left to do was move the interest from my current account to the savings account - all 2p of it

I've found a vehicle that produces more smoke than my former

When i was a lad we went to the Steam Fair in Dorset every year, great memories.

Had a lovely day at the Bedford and BOBcats joint show yesterday. A really fabulous book of cats, quite a lot of longhaired pedigree pets, so I did inhale a fair amount of fur whilst dispensing cuddles.

I think my four favourite cats were a ginger & white non-ped boy who just purred and head bopped me, a slinky minky lilac point Siamese girl who was such an outgoing and chatty extrovert, a cream Burmese boy who schmoozed his way into my heart, and the biggest, most enormous mini-lion of a cream point mitted Ragdoll boy. He was so big, my trolley all but vanished under him! Had a good lunch at the show, and the team kept me in tea all day long.

Wrote my reports today, though I did make a start on them last night, and they're already up on the GCCF website. Was the first judge to post, so kind of chuffed about that.

Also watched the snooker. What a fabulous final.

I'm still cream crackered, so am heading off to bed. Normal service will be resumed tomorrow.

The last Truckfest in Peterborough finished last night.
While I'm in favour of the showground and all it brings, visitors, money, attractions etc, 3 days of honking, blasting air horns actually began to annoy me last night . I can usually switch off to noise but it was at ridiculous levels yesterday afternoon.

And they wonder why the Showground is closing down ?

Yesterday, I passed by Chapel Brampton railway station on my way to the farm shop.
