Itching to get back on my bike's
Location
Northamptonshire
Light grey clouds and not raining, tree branches are moving around a bit .
At last it's Friday
First cuppa going down well

Morning.
It is sort of grey here this morning , the Sun occasionally breaks through. After having rain coming from the West for the past few days it is now coming from the East. How come whichever way the wind blows we get rain ?
The past couple of days have been surprisingly sunny despite the gloomy predictions from the weather peeps .
Trying to locate a brake pedal switch for my wife's car.

Good morning, I woke at 6:00 and could hear the distant rattling of a train. Fired up the Trainline app and see it's the Lairg to Inverness service.

I used to travel on that route as my grandparents had a croft near Lairg. The train goes from Inverness to Thurso with quite a few stops before and after Lairg. At least it use to tho' I have not been on that route for a few years.
My memory for names has gone a bit awol. Are you the poster who went on a trip to Shetland?

Another nice sunny day and general temperature is rising so I may just turn off my central heating.
Need to go and try to amend another ferry booking for a couple of weeks time. Could be a problem and FB is full of complaints from people getting bumped from their preferred sailing.
So far I have managed ok and yesterday got on an earlier ferry than booked as a standby.
A bit humdrum now being back away from the bustle and the strange sights.
There were a few youngish men in long black dresses heading off island yesterday tho' they are not much of a novelty nowadays. They will be coming from Iona probably but no idea what denomination they are from. One guy with a long grey dress lived around the south end for a while and was often seen around.
Mebbe I should say habit but the term dress keeps surfacing instead.

Back home from hols about 3am. Up at 8am, washing machine on. Loads of jobs to do.

Laurel hedge has sprouted with all the rain, so a fast hair cut is needed.

Broken tooth has been patched with a semi permanent repair kit (reviews good). Bit of a fiddle but the resin is in the gap and the pain is subsiding. Needs about 2 hours to fully set before eating, so better get on with my jobs.
