Another nice sunny day so got the shorts on for first time this year. I used to wear shorts from April to the end of October with longs only for formal occasions if a kilt would not do.
I notice on my last foray off island that there were a lot of very white spindly legs on display.
My legs still seem to have the remnants of last year’s tan so not unrespectable and before you remark on it yes I do wash them regularly along with the rest of me.
Sat in my sheltered corner in the garden/wilderness where I fell asleep for an hour.
In the morning got the library at last and some minor shopping as the street apart from the bit in front of the coop was quite civilised. Still no eye drops but some similar formulation is promised for next week. They say that every week and there are constant supply difficulties.
Spent some time sifting through old photos and found one of our Head Girl looking much more urbane than the bedraggled person I posted a photo of earlier.
I seemed to spend more time in her company than my wife's sometimes but I did have a very strict rule for myself. Hands off the female staff and no amorous approaches. Seemed to work tho’ some people in the trade shows were a bit confused as we sometimes behaved like a long married couple if business required both of us.

I was looking through the TV programs for next week A program about Mull caught my eye.
Can’t find it now have to look through the TV guide that comes in the newspaper

Monday 15th May CH 4 at 9PM the local FB page tells me.
About rescues apparently, one dealing with a car rally incident and the other a woman who got too near the edge of a cliff and fell over.
No idea what the car rally one is tho' people have been killed but not that recently.

Nothing to do with this but the lifeboat and coastguard were turned out the other day for a woman who walked to the
Rhu na Gall lighthouse but was so frightened by the path that she could not get back.
Myself and wife regularly did this walk at lunchtime and there is a bit where the path has been carved out of the cliff. Pretty narrow and a handrail on the cliff side to hold on to. We had no problem but we were used to it.

On a lighter note, (@Reynard) Inspector Montalbano will be on BBC4 later this evening.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll catch it on the i-player later.

I'm watching Eurovision...

Thanks for that I’ll put it on record

We finally got some sunshine after 3pm - up 'till then it was resolutely grey, cloudy and with a way too cold northerly breeze. Todays purchases were all drink related - squash, beer & coffee - and the trousers were successfully collected from Next.

The late afternoon sunshine even persuaded me to get the mower out and give the lawns yet another cut which was badly needed as the lawn feed used last week had caused a major growth spurt. Unfortunately the weed killer part of the mix used doesn't seem to have had much effect yet.
