No bank holiday in the van for us.All ready to go phoned camp site stewards this morning to check if it was not booked up. Still waiting for a reply it’s a bit out the just to turn up then find it’s full. Mrs 73 even booked Tuesday off so we had extra day too.
Morning spent trying to find a plan b , nothing doing so it’s a weekend of days out for us.

If it can’t get any worse just seen Mike Ashley now in the running to bank roll Yorkshire ccc.

Yes he was handsome, quite big for a border collie, a failed sheepdog, who my DiL fell in love with. When she was small Cassie used to run full pelt into him & bounce off, he didn't turn a hair. As she grew older they'd chase balls together, taking turns in bringing it back.

Also, I have a new kettle, having completely failed to with my tree hugging hippy attempts to fix the old one.

We have a new one too. Could probably have continued to use the old one, but the handle to the lid had disintegrated

Lovely and sunny here today chez Casa Reynard, but there is a chilly northerly breeze that's taken the edge off the temps.

Slept reasonably well if a bit pretzeled, so my neck and shoulders are stiff. Reason - my poor boobies are really sore in the run up to TTOTM. Owww. Anyways, I've had a nice quiet morning puttering in the garden and checking the contents of the fridges and cupboards etc as I'll be going grocery shopping / yellow stickering this evening.

Anyways, it is time for luncheon and I has a hungry.

Stressful afternoon, went to go out on a walking drop off and shop only to find no sign of my wallet. After various hunts gave up and cancelled cards. Thankfully have a second credit card that is normally used for on line transactions so made use of this
Slight scare in Aldi when the card reader refused to accept it being tapped but thankfully the PIN was an easy one to remember
Expect the wallet will appear now, if not a new Driving License photo card will be needed.

Had a lovely luncheon of cheddar and beetroot chutney on toast, plus an apple, a tangerine and 2

Listened to the qually from Monaco while dozing in a chair in the garden, and I'm now watching the live feed from the Prescott Historique.

Garden Pots have been watered. Some carrot & beetroot seeds have been down in my veg patch.
Pasty & baked potato for dinner.
Not sure about pud yet, but there's some pineapple slices in the refrigerator that need using up.

A while ago l posted a pic of my finger where l had caught it in the seat mechanism of the car.
10 weeks later:

Managed eventually to find some netting to keep the house sparrows off my newly seeded wild flower patch.
A neighbour once filled in a small garden pond and put down grass seed. No grass appeared after the house sparrows had stuffed themselves with the seed.
PS Waverley is visiting and doing some cruises from here. In some ways I quite fancy going on one to see places I have been by sea in my own boats but not sure there is any space left by now anyway. In some ways it is too depressing not being able to go in my own boat due to old age and infirmity.
Showery day with sunshine but tomorrow looks better.

U-Haul running late. Just pulling my auto into the hitch install bay, about 45 minutes later than my scheduled time. I won’t mention how early I was. Last time I went thru this I had the 1st apt. Of the day which I could not arrange on this day
