Another bright and sunny morning.
A few years ago the council sold the only public toilets to somebody who turned the building into an ice cream parlour. Somehow I cannot bring myself to buy any ice cream.
This was on the assumption that the nearby public hall would be open and available for general public use which is not always the case.
The Harbour Building was open at the other end of the street.[ 50p per P I think]. A long way if you are in need. Today it is announced that all water to the harbour is shut off due to a water shortage which means no public toilets available anywhere unless the public hall happens to be open.
I have checked to date and it is not April 1st.
If you come here to visit make sure you learn to keep you legs firmly crossed.
The last time I was up at the Mishnish Lochs earlier this week the level looked reasonably high. They now act as the reservoir for most of the north of the island.
Now off to try to salvage something from a bag of slimy carrots I got from Aldi yesterday.
