Had a lovely luncheon of two slices of wholemeal toast, one with homemade gravlax, the other with st felicien cheese, then an apple, half a lovely ripe mango, some walnuts and two

Spent the rest of the afternoon prepping my avalanche of strawberries in order to make jam. A few punnets have been put aside to scarf, although I will probably make a tarte aux fraises as I have some pastry left over from last night's quiche making.

Now sat back with a and a shortbread finger.

Very carefully got out of the car in the Asda car park this evening only to realise I was being watched by a man who then then walked into the store. Quickly realised he was the owner of the 23 reg I had parked alongside and no way was I going to catch his car with my door; under no circumstances was I going to allow any part of the black door to be marred by the revolting mustard colour of the 23 reg - that must have devalued when was painted!

Taking the grandchildren to the ice cream farm today. They might get to stroke a goat or an alpaca too. I don’t think I’ll win the “too cold for ice cream“ argument though 😉

Unfortunately I have to admit it's more likely one (mine) forgotten or not found in the depths and replaced by another (borrowed) which suffered the same fate.

Fabulous supper of grilled yellowfin tuna, buttered new potatoes and a mahoosive tray of roast veggies - red onion, red pepper, courgette, baby plum tomatoes, sweet potato and more than just a few garlic cloves.
