We had 2 visitors last night . It is probably the same 2 that I see most nights. They are about the same size . I haven't seen the big one for a while now.
I have just been up to check out the 2 houses and they are both empty . It might be that in the dry weather they prefer to sleep outdoors . They haven't been using them for a while now as vegitation has grown up in front of them and there are no signs of them wandering in and out .

A bit cloudy this morning but forecast to brighten up later.
Just as well my Oban appointment was earlier in the week. The ferry I was booked on has broken down and the sailings I could have been on yesterday and today are cancelled.
Little chance of any other sailing as all are booked solid. As I was going for a hospital visit the staff would have put me on any
"no shows" space and if every booked car turned up I would go as a foot passenger and get a paid by Calmac taxi to any relevant hospital and back again to the terminal.
Such is life these days on a small but now very overcrowded island.
There are two other routes but very long diversion. The Corran ferry should be back very soon as she was last seen heading round the Mull of Kintyre going north which would reduce the diversion distance to about 80 extra miles.
On a very slightly better note Ernie has been a bit mean again this month but £25 is better than nothing. :becool:

Time for a trundle

once had a studio apartment with a trundle bed, that was disguised as the bottom drawer, of a wall built-in dresser. the small bathroom was up some steps to the right & then around & above the bed. so at bedtime you pull out the drawer, then in the morning after to make the bed, you roll it back into the wall

A warm and mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, but still feel sooooooo tired. Anyways, I have had a kitchen morning, and the crock pot is locked and loaded with tonight's supper. Madam Poppy sampled the turkey meatballs to check if they were fit for purpose. The reduction on those was only 60%, but still good enough value, as the pack will do us for four portions.

The plan is to make strawberry jam this afternoon.

But first, it is time for luncheon. And ham time for Mesdames Poppy & Lexi.
