Just spent a frightening amount of someone else's money on bike parts and tools.

It's turning into a warm and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept OK-ish, and spent the morning a) emptying and scrubbing out the downstairs litter tray and b) working on the mower. Kind of chuffed that I've solved the niggles on that.

Yes, it *was* a fore-aft alignment issue - I'd re-fitted the deck as far back as it would go on the adjustment, which is why there was no slack in the drive belt. Whoops. Actually, it was only half an inch out - one hole on the hitch was enough. Two holes i.e. one inch was actually too much, and then the deck didn't engage at all. It's also taken care of the occasional sparks - which were caused by the deck being under power (albeit not full power) while the brake was on.

The owner's manual is good, but it only covers the basics. There's no troubleshooting like what you get in a Haynes manual - I guess it assumes that this sort of stuff would be done in a dealer's workshop. And speaking of which, now that I've sorted the deck and silenced the blade & pulley noises, I can confirm that I now have my fine throttle control back.

Oh, and my ebay is working again i.e. I can now pay for stuff. So I've bought the programme for Paul Warwick's very first race. :becool:

Anyways, it's time for luncheon and I has a hungry.

We went down to the opticians this morning . It is a good job my wife came with me as they put some stuff in my eyes to dilute them . Things are still a bit blurry at the moment . The other day after a cycle ride I thought that I had something in one as I could see a dark green floater in my vision . It turns out to be a posterior vitreous detachment.

Yikes what the heck does that mean? I have an eye fox apt next week I’m sure they give me some kind of news I’d rather not get

Fun pack morning a student having a panic attack then another one being sick all over the place.
More Admin keeps coming our way too which use to be extra now seen as 2 jobs for price of one.
Then to top it off we've been told off for Blu Tacking stuff on walls. That must be the stuff that needs to be on wall re exam regs.
Oh well when the inspector comes just have to tell them management don't like stuff on walls.

Warm sunny and very windy chez Hebe Parents. I really need to work out how to have a bike here.

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Having only partly recovered from last weekend's 600km audax, I'm doing a hillclimb this evening. Sensibly the organiser has put me off early, with the slow ones on road bikes rather than TT bikes / fast road bikes. I entered because he'd hardly anyone else entered a few days prior to closing and he really tries hard to get people to take part.

I'll be the one trundling up Cragg Vale this evening wondering why my legs aren't working
