Anyhow, the recycling bin hasn't been emptied this week so it's too full for the top to close.

Looks like a touch of dampness overnight which is much needed. Sun is currently shining but rain showers forecast.

Need to do something about my electricity suppliers. SSE or OVO or whatever they call themselves nowadays have just told me they are increasing my DD by £40 per month because I am about £80 in the red just now at the start of summer and no heating being used.

Not quite the same thing tho'. Never been at a HG as a spectator so never paid much attention as too busy.
I always had a laugh ot Luss when about lunch time the commentator always saw an eagle above the hills in the distance. Must have kept a tame buzzard as it happened about same time every year. Possibly even somebody with a kite.

Ready for home again. I only came for a few days on Arran but extended it somewhat as the weather conditions were favourable and I had a full two weeks off work.

Good morning (just) from Newark Northgate station where we've arrived somewhat late having been delayed at Retford by brake problems on the train. Looks like another delay repayment claim to be made as the scheduled arrival time at Peterborough is just after the Ipswich bound train leaves.

I see an old but very clean and original looking Vauxhall Carlton queuing up for the ferry. No doubt being imported by some of the boy racer brigade and it will gain a huge exhaust, body kit and enormous wheels

Quick fettle of a spare wheel and getting the indexing the same as the CX bikes normal wheel. Swapped a 1.5mm spacer for a 2mm one. Dripping now, so warm.

31 in the shade currently, it's hot work just looking at a bike. Pleased to say seems to be no shortage of bees, my hebe is covered by them.

We are back home . It took 2 hours up the M5 and M4. Just woken up from a nap , didn't get much sleep last night .
It has rained a bit here which will help soften the bird poo on the back of my car . I had better go and wash it off .

I'm tired ! A walk up to a Tor yesterday wore me out . I had driven down so I was tired from that .

Thunder and heavy rain has just hit Costa Del Stockport. Guess who was going to be doing a BBQ - hope it blows over, otherwise it's an oven BBQ.
