When I booked the Arran ferry on their website, some sailings were showing as booked out for bicycles, which I doubt as they could fit loads on the vehicle deck.

There are specific places to tie bikes and bits of rope are ready attached to them unless on one ferry at least there are the wheel bender types which I refused to use with a fully loaded bike. I always have my own bits of fine rope to tie to anything handy and have had no trouble with that from the deck crew. There may appear to be plenty of room for bikes but there is the danger of damaging cars which they obviously are keen to avoid.

It's been a warm, muggy and largely overcast day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, but woke up early. No matter, kicked back and watched Trooping the Colour. Then popped into town straight after to get the bracelet on the Tissot re-sized. While the watchmaker did his thing, I tootled off to Tesco. I didn't need any groceries, but I'd received a £9 off voucher for a £60 spend, so filled my trolley with sixty quid's worth of cat food.

Had a lovely if rather late luncheon of two slices of wholemeal toast, one with the last of the Silesian sausage, one with Gouda, plus an apple, an orange and the last of the strawberries. Oh, and two :cuppa: of course.

After, I sorted out my stash of cat food. I think I now have enough to last the girls for the remainder of the year, watered and fed the tomato plants and then sat listening to a bit of TMS and then FP3 from Canada.

It's almost time to feed the cats. Might be a while before I'm peckish.
