We found a dead Blackbird in our garden . It was dead because it's head was lying a couple of inches away from its body. It's very strange ! I don't think it was done by our cat as he seemed confused by it, plus it was to tidy and not chewed or had feathers missing .
Watched rain approaching but when it got here it passed over in a few minutes and barely wet the ground.
Taken to going down to the marina to sit for a while about lunch time to watch the passing traffic. Not many boats in at lunch time and most approaching gin palace size tho’ mostly sail rather than motor.
One young woman marching around with a clip board rounding up passengers for a wildlife watching trip. Some went and settled themselves at the bow of a large catamaran. I wonder how long they will tough it out once they get going?
A couple sitting on my usual seat got up to leave and a scatter of paper fell to the ground. I genuinely thought this was accidental but when I drew their attention to this the man looked a bit shamefaced and picked up what was clearly rubbish. The woman with him glared at me.
A hire motor boat headed out with two passengers with fishing rods. They headed just a few hundred yards along the bay to the Sput Dhu which used to be one of our favourite spots when we just wanted a few mackerel. Not at all obvious to strangers and always productive.
We once dived there and found a pile of filing cabinets dumped from the largest warship moored there in wartime.
Once they got orders to return home at the end of the war they just dumped all surplus on us.
The thunder is passed the worst now although I can still hear it in the distance. Now that it's not overhead, I can hear the stupid boy racers again.
There's two groups that come here for this. People who go and actually watch the rally stages and the idiots who probably know nothing about rallying but just come here to cruise around causing, noise, pollution and congestion but think they're cool.
Today I did fit a couple of pond aerating stones to my pond. Complete with pump (wired in) and tubing naturally. (stones all by themselves are just..................well, stones.)
