Forecast says heavy rain today but while everything outside is a bit damp the rain cannot be described as heavy.

The proposed Island Priority Scheme for ferry booking has been postponed until October as Calmac management is too busy trying to keep a service running in the face of constant breakdowns and changing to a new booking system. This system is in use in Sweden and means keeping back 10% of space on a ferry until the last minute to give islanders who have a sudden need to go off a chance to get a on board.
There are lots of reasons why you cannot predict movements and hospital appointments or bereavements are only two examples.

I have several large fish farm plastic boxes which need to get sorted as they contain a load of redundant camping gear and also bike spares.
I have found a couple of saddles but not yet the box with among others a B17.
This will take some time to sort and tho' my camping days are probably over a lot has sentimental value to me so difficult to dump and not easy to sell here. Cannot be bothered with selling on line as too much hassle unless you are well organised for that.

Nasty A1 roadworks (Wentbridge Viaduct - single lane in each direction) avoided this morning southbound. M62 east, A162 south, parallel lane to the standing A1, Darrington, Wentbridge, B6474 and A639 back to a free flowing A1.

No if I see any snails in our rear garden I always give them 3 blobs of yellow paint been doing it for about 3 years now.

If I had a Tesla or another ev I am pretty sure there would be an app for it as ev's are the answer to all issues according to some people

You need to get @DCLane to send you some tags.. Would you need to sign them up individually on Strava, or as a team?

It's a warm, humid and occasionally sunny day here chez Casa Reynard after what looks to have been a decent bit of rain yesterday evening and into the wee hours.

Slept really well, although I'm still trying to get my head around a dream involving chips and a stock car track that was being built next to the Emirates Stadium aka Ashburton Grove...

Had a quiet morning catching up on assorted bits. Have also made a batch of marinara sauce, as I had some tomatoes that were a bit overripe, as well as half a random onion in the fridge that needed using. Added garlic, olive oil and fresh herbs from the garden (basil, rosemary and a bay leaf). Smells fabby. :hungry:

I will see if I can get some more grass cut this afternoon, as it looks quite dry under the trees.

It is almost time for luncheon.
