I know but I was thinking that there must be a reason for a nest in the living room.

If I leave it for long enough, maybe I'll end up with an army of Spiderlings that I can train to do my evil deeds! 😆
They're also kinda solitary creatures.

Rain seems to have stopped but what we had did water the garden a bit to encourage the weeds.

Thr Ferry Committee did a survey of business asking about the impact of ferry problems here and at Corran.
Cue much whining from the B&B bunch who actually had to do some work for a change. Many come here, buy a house and expect the money to pour in without any real effort on their part. Many of the replies used the same phraseology which suggests collusion to me.
A fair proportion of others had no complaints.

Got a call from a GP that two months after a biopsy I have a bacterial infection in my stomach. Massive dose of antibiotics prescribed.

Did a very little sorting of the heap of mostly junk in a spare room.
Came on these ex army canteens which were used on many camp fires. Not too good for a stove but good for packing. Also probably not my original enamel mug. Very nostalgic

With the wind coming from the south for what seemed like the first time in months, I took the opportunity to head roughly northbound for a 50 mile bike ride up to Beccles for lunch and drinks in the sunshine, followed by a train ride home in air conditioned coolness. Thanks to the current fares offer with Greater Anglia it was cheaper to buy a return (£10) than a single (£13.40 with rail card). Even better was that the whole day out was effectively free as, just before I left home, I received notification of the refund payment from LNER after the dalays a couple of weeks ago.
