Blustery, warm-ish and mostly overcast here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept really well. Spent the morning in the garden pulling weeds. Of which there are many, mainly where I can't get in with the mower. I've also watered my triffids. We're due rain showers this afternoon, but showers tend to be hit-and-miss, and all my plants have already set fruit, so need to be watered. I've already got tomatoes the size of gobstoppers.

Someone has scarfed the ripening strawberries in the garden overnight.

Most of this afternoon's plans are somewhat weather-dependent, but I have some nectarines that have some dodgy splotches on them, so I shall remove the manky bits, cut them up and pop the cut fruit in a tupperware in the fridge.

There's a high pollen count here, because both Madam Lexi and I are sneezing for England. My nose is also very dribbly despite the antihistamines I've taken.

It is almost time for luncheon.

I got the fronts of my legs burnt once ! It was really painful at work the next day when I bent down . I was unaware of the effect of the sun at the time .

yeah different motions create different kinds of discomfort. I find the creases at one's ankles, particularly bothersome, also depending on what ointment I'm using. for example aloe drys hard & doesn't like to bend

An unexplained kickstand has appeared next to my laptop.

You'd have thought so ! Two big boxes of cat food pouches (240 in total) and a free pot of cat treats (bought with store points). That lot should last 5 weeks at most. Four cats, say 8-10 packs a day max.

Similar quantities here, we've got 5 (we did have 6 but sadly the lad got really ill, Vet thought possibly cancer so he's gone to the scratching post in the sky)

Arrived at mainland destination.
The weather forecast now says tomorrow may be a dry day here. Wait and see.
While waiting in the ferry queue a torrential shower came on as tho’ somebody had just turned a hose on us full blast. Lasted less than five minutes but the car park was awash.
That is the third time that has happened to me in as many days.
I was lucky to miss being out in it as I had just got back into the car after a loo visit.
