This was the first time I'd had wagyu. The burger was butter-soft and so tasty. Less is more with these, I think.

I've seen wagyu steaks in Aldi (the burgers were "new" in Tesco), and I'm now planning on giving them a whirl.

I'm sure our Wagyu over here is not real Wagyu, but it is still smashing, far better than other ground beef.

@Reynard I got emails a while back, possibly last year, that they were closing unused accounts. Maybe yours has fallen into that category if it's 18 months since it was utilised?

I did look it up, and it's three years according to the blurb.

Will sort out an account linked to new phone number and a different e-mail. I want to buy some other memorabilia from that Latvian seller, but don't want to go through the hoopla of my bank refusing to make the payment again.

New paypal account set up, but I can't verify my bank card, because I'm waiting for the bank to complete my online banking registration stuff before I can change personal details. Card still linked to old phone number and email. Aaaargh, why does life have to be so fecking bloody complicated! :banghead:

OTOH, I took a bit of a chance on the ebay transaction I wanted to make, and it went through successfully along the usual channels this time :wahhey:

Will be nice to have paypal as an extra belt-and-braces for the future, though.

Anyways, four Paul Warwick photos should be winging their way to me from Latvia shortly. Three press pack / promotional photos, one each from 1988, 1989 and 1991, plus a real little rarity from Paul's first ever FF1600 test that I'd wager the girls' supply of dreamies on it having been taken by Rod Barrett.

Good morning. 'Late' (10:00-18:30) shift today.

Almost slavery!

To be fair, clients get a basic income, health insurance et c. independent of their participation in the programme. They also work a maximum of 5 hours a day, and their workplace is tailored to them.

In other words, it's a service to help people get back to work and/or give them a routine for the day to help their psychological health. The payment is basically pocket money to encourage them to participate. However, for clients who are skilled it can feel rather stingy.

Higher fat content, Waygu beef is 'marbled' with fat so you cannot get the same effect by just chucking lumps of fat in with your 'chuck' Steak.
I've stopped buying 5% fat (lean mince) as it is dry and flavourless and buy 16% or even 20% for Chilli/Cottage pie/Spaggy Bol etc although for a proper Spaghetti Bolognese finely cubed Beef (1/4 inch or so) gives a far better taste and texture.

Morning.
We had rain for most of yesterday's afternoon band evening . I decided to wash my car during it . It saves water and saves me having to wash the suds off , plus having to chamois it off because of the hard water here.
Going to the Men's Shed yesterday was a bad idea . It went on for too long and having to concentrate for that period meant that I was out of it for the afternoon. I could have picked up a bike if it wasn't for that !
