Itching to get back on my bike's

Second cuppa went down well

Report, such as it is, sent off.

I was also reluctantly brushing off my CV, as although this is my dream job the contract I'm on isn't forever, and the pay isn't great.

Then my colleague who I really enjoy working with dropped by. He says there's a rumour of a new bike shop being opened with him and me being suggested as managers. Working with him would be the icing on the cake, if I can afford it...

This is my Braille kit from when I've written to a blind family friend.

There's an extractor fan on the roof that sucks bathroom odours from the column of flats below and above. It stopped working last night. It will take a good month before maintenance sends someone in a hard hat onto the roof to look at it. That's a long pong.

time to buy scented candles?

Nice short run done on the trike.
Must be big tides just now as a cleck of kayakers had to get shouted at as one was pulling a kayak out on to the roadway at Connel Bridge without looking behind to check for traffic ie silent approaching trikes.
Could not resist this picture on the cyclepath which is not as deserted as it appears. Took me ages to find somewhere for a pee without passing traffic.

Overcast and humid here chez Casa Reynard.

Middling night's sleep. Slept well for the first half, then had to get up to use the little girl's room, and after that, I just tossed and turned until it was time to get up. Meh. Have had a quiet morning doing some writing.

I will watch the Scottish coronation thingy over lunch, then later, I shall go to Tesco for bread, milk and a few other gubbins.

Madam Poppy is fast asleep and dreaming, as her paws, ears and whiskers are twitching.

It is almost time for luncheon.

Higher fat content, Waygu beef is 'marbled' with fat so you cannot get the same effect by just chucking lumps of fat in with your 'chuck' Steak.
I've stopped buying 5% fat (lean mince) as it is dry and flavourless and buy 16% or even 20% for Chilli/Cottage pie/Spaggy Bol etc although for a proper Spaghetti Bolognese finely cubed Beef (1/4 inch or so) gives a far better taste and texture.

On yellow sticker, I'll take what there is, but largely, I too prefer the non-lean mince for cooking with. I dry fry it, which releases all that lovely dripping! :hungry:

Having said that, 5% mince makes a decent Filet Americain. And the girls don't mind it either...

Easy to be wise after the event, I know, but why didn’t you take your existing number with you?

Because it was far easier to just leave and let be. Virgin's customer service is shocking, particularly for those who were on their pay-as-you-go service. Which incidentally, they pulled the plug on. At least with Tesco, I can go into my local store and actually *talk* to someone if need be.
