Well that was a windy ride. Headwind on way out, very sketchy sidewinds, especially next to the river Clywd, but 30 mph on the flat.

Fifty one years in my case, but the point is still the same. I still think it's important to have a pattern in your life35+ years of shift work & weekend working with rest days during the week is a good way to loose track of what day it is.
I was right...Good morning from a sunny but breezy Suffolk where a lie in just listening to the radio means that the first coffee of the day has only just been finished. There were a few rumbles of thunder to go with the very heavy rain last night and I suspect that some of the back roads I use will still be under water or be very muddy/sandy with field run off when I go out later.
You could not make it up.
Calmac send a text that the lift on MV Isle of Mull is out of action again. A short time later they repeat this message and suggest anybody affected should use MV Loch Frisa. Five minutes later another text telling us MV Loch Frisa will be off for the rest of the day by the looks of it due to a "Technical Problem".
This means that if you are a wheelchair user you can only travel by Lochaline on which route the Corran ferry is broken down. Depending on your destination this means an extra mileage of about 40 miles or if going to Oban double that.
Pouring rain and high wind but tried for a walk and gave up after about 100 yards so back home where I seem to be targeted by all sorts of spammers, the latest being a whatsapp message from somebody not in my directory saying just "hello".
Block and dump.
