Took the golden opportunity to give the lawn a cut this morning as it was DRY !!!,,,🤣
I also hosed down the path and the white washed out buildings to get the winter grime of them.Suprised by how much brighter they look now
You waited for dry weather to get the hosepipe out!

Hazy sunshine. I feel cold but see some in tee shirts tho’ at the same time some are also still in winter jackets.
Pottered about doing odd jobs and was a bit horrified when I realised I had been cycling around with no tyre pump on the trike. I do have some CO2 canisters but never used them in anger yet. Mini pump now in the bag.
Where I would normally mount a pump there a telescopic walking stick.
One of the minus points about the Kettwiessel is that there are no convenient mounting points for anything.
First lamb has appeared in the field opposite. I did see one down at the head of Loch na Keal a couple of weeks ago but no others until now.

The Patient has made a request for Toad in the Hole for this evening. My success with that has been limited. I am following a Mary Berry recipe, and the batter has been left to "stand" for half an hour, tho' some Prue Leith says one hour. How thick should the layer of batter be when you pour it into the baking tray?

Happy Easter to all the lovely Mundaners. Smacznego Jajka!

It's a grey day here chez Casa Reynard, increasingly chilly and now it's trying to rain.

Slept well for once, but then I was a bit knackered after going yellow stickering in Tesco yesterday evening. Got quite a bit of fish (hake, sea bass, haddock in batter, smoked mackerel & monkfish) that I shall be sharing with the friend I go walking and to cat shows* with, and then I picked up a pork belly joint for myself. Also picked up a job lot of apples and tangerines and a load of pastries from the in-store bakery. They were taking a lot of stuff dated for tomorrow off the shelves, and so I shall go and have a mosey as I spotted some stuff in that lot which I can definitely use.

I am having a nice quiet day. Currently watching the Women's League Cup final, but I shall be turning on the radio in a moment to listen to the Man City v Arsenal game.

Just enough time to make a :cuppa: before that gets going.

* we live in the same village, so makes sense to travel in one car. Unless I'm judging, and then the GCCF rules mean that I cannot travel to a show together with an exhibitor.
