Having saved money yesterday mending the washing machine that's about to go, and more. My PC's hard drive blew last month and the back-up drive wouldn't work. Turns out our surge protector device isn't protecting.

The data off the back-up's recoverable but it'll be £200 as it goes onto a 1TB external hard drive. At least I've not lost everything over the past 20 years, although I'll have a bit from the past few months.

It’s turning into an ok afternoon blue sky and sunshine out the wind it’s nice since and warm. Should dry the washing on line nicely. Mrs 73 gave me a pass out so I got to stay home and give the outlaws a miss.
Need a few things from town so think I will call in as the weathers since.

Anyone mastered the 3D sudoku, tredoku. One in last Saturdays Times seems to be impossible with all the so far unfilled squares having at least two possibilities and no number unique to any one of the bigger square

I've never attempted it but, counting 6 rows down from the left (i.e. the bottom row of the first shaded box on the left) the 9s have to go in either the 2nd or 3rd place in the row, so can't be an option in the 4th and 6th place. And that's about as far as my patience will let me go with it. (Because it's fiendish!)

reminded me of hunting for rubbing alcohol, sanitizing wipes & bathroom tissue. Wifey will be glad I got them tho. wish the lenses were more perfectly flat. but maybe it won't matter. it will only be partial in the Boston area, but it's "a thing". & maybe this time I won't to the cereal box trick

Great having waited since Saturday for the bathroom drain to be sorted. We've phoned up to see if anyone is coming today. Only to be told the company the council use have lost the job request. So they have to put it though as yet another 3 working days repair. We've kicked off and they've change it to a 24 hour one. Not impressed

It's that time of year when blue skies mean a very cold morning and a warm afternoon, so my winter coat will be bulky and hot in the afternoon but my summer coat will be cold in the morning.
