Good morning from Suffolk. Another bright & breezy start to the day with just high clouds being blown through fairly quickly. The first coffee of the day has just been finished and was slightly stronger than normal due to using u the last of a pack.

Initial thoughts of heading to Snetterton have been binned as it's not worth it for 3 different categories racing twice and two of those are different generations of MX5s. Instead I think it will be a day of Paris - Roubaix and catching up with the Japanese F1 either from Sky F1 or a radio re-run if I go out later.

The navy served all meals on square wooden boards
And an alternative at Inns etc., was to serve food on slabs of stale bread, one idea being that the juices would soften up the bread and makes it 'edible' - ! ^_^

Some of their very early stuff isn't completely mainstream, and there's some that IIRC were B-sides that never made the albums.

You've got to admit that the vast majority of people don't go beyond the "Greatest Hits" stuff.

My favourite is "The Day Before You Came". It is "slower" than most of their others. This is also one of Pete Waterman's favourites, and I recall him saying he wishes he had written it.

Sunny and the potential wind gusts appear to have created another lock down; haven't seen anyone outside, not even an almost flying dog with it's owner hanging grimly onto the lead. Just looked everywhere for a front bike light which I have a habit of using as torch and it seems to have vanished. Hoping now I have posted this it miraculously appears.

Yet another change of plans - decided to cut the grass but got halfway through the back garden and the mower started to sound a bit 'off' and then produced a lot of smoke and a burning wiring smell.

Now just waiting for Homebase to confirm my order is ready to collect and will take the old mower to the tip with the grass cuttings already done, then pick the new one up and finish off what id started

Rain has only now started but the wind is still there
All Oban/Craignure sailings now cancelled and somebody in Oban put up a video of MV Loch Frisa approaching land with the comment that it was "a bit bumpy" out there.
A bit of an understatement and probably lots of terrified passengers.
Made a short trip down to check my car was ready for the garage to collect tomorrow I hope.
If they do not get it done it means fighting a distant Calmac office to change bookings as I cannot walk far enough to get to the local office. When you phone it is not one of the options tho' Craignure is but the system is a bit random.
Taking the trike down is not practical either as the hill back up is a bit steep and so far untested.

That video appeared on Twitter as well. Not the kind of journey to do on a full stomach!
