Got most of the shopping sorted and stashed away.
Knackered and both knees are suffering a bit.
I suppose walking around 3 supermarkets leaning on a trolley must be more tiring than expected and the old legs are not as fit as they used to be.
Also everything was carted up the garden path which is hard work but not as bad as normal as I had to park across the garden gate whereas normally I park on the other side of the road but antisocial parking by possible new neighbours prevented that.
Slept ok overnight but still felt tired when I got up this morning
The car interior is a bit scruffy as well but it can wait till I feel more active.

Wordpress was the one I was thinking of, but couldn't remember.

Satisfied WordPress user here. I must admit I haven't used any others but when I investigated at the time, it seemed to have most to offer and I have never had any complaints. Pretty user friendly.

Work done for the week and a few errands run in town and my car now sports a full working set of lights! I'm tempted to look into LED conversions as bulbs never seem to last any more.

A dry, bright but very windy 20 miles cycled. I would have made it more but I am going to the theatre this evening and wanted to get a shower and something to eat first. I see why I prefer to cycle later at night when all the Kamikaze pilots and must get in front lunatics have got home from work and have their feet up in front of Coronation Street where they can do no harm.

Just cleaned up and now waiting for Mrs 73 birthday cake to come out the oven. It's not still Sunday but i've only got today free to myself, plan is to decorate tomorrow before she get's up. It's a pretty good old round chocolate cake with added evaporated milk. Makes a lovely black frost gateau. The plus side is plenty of left over evaporated milk so think it's coffee time with a dash or two.

Black frost gateau? Has it got plenty of icing on the top?

A few other decent-looking car-ish lots in the sale too, but nothing of any great interest for me. The one exception would be the job lot of Group C 1:43. But only one or two in there that I'd actually want, and since they're not Derek Warwick-related, not worth my while chancing my arm on the lot.

Was mucho fun poking through the catalogue, though.

I must be in the alternate reality Yorkshire as it's dry, sunny and warm!

Lunch & drinks done, showered and heading off to the Brudenel in the next half hour. Slight hiccup when booking into the hotel as I was given an already occupied room (red light on electronic lock, voices from within) but quickly sorted and a free drink voucher given as an apology.

No as i'm not that this time. Just when I have it always makes a nice one. As this for Mrs 73 it has to be chocolate , chocolate and more chocolate.

I went to Queen's Road primary school just a marble's throw from the Brudenell Social Club. It's no longer there but the playground railings are still there, opposite the Royal Park pub. Horrible school but I remember playing marbles behind those railings.

Lovely day today. Up early to drive to Blakeney on the North Norfolk coast for ride & walk day..
13 miles ridden around the coast and inland lanes then just under 5 miles walked along the Coastal Path, salt marshes and harbour.

Most enjoyable 👌
