Arse! A seller has withdrawn an ebay lot that I'd planned on bidding on.

I do that sometimes if it looks like it could go too cheaply.

Let me relay news of an altercation with a policeman yesterday. I was in the inside lane, with him on the outside, in slow moving (crawling) traffic. He wasn't indicating. He was say half a car length in front of me, when he stuck on the blue lights and siren, held up two lanes of traffic, and threatened to charge me with driving without due care and attention for failing to let him in to my lane, and for failing to see a non-existent sign. He wasn't even signalling! We had at least 15 minutes of arguing, with him being very rude and sarcastic. I must have said "I'd have happily let you in if you'd let me know that that you wanted to change lanes" at least 5 times.
I apologised, but have no idea what for.

Nice bright but breezy morning here.

Breakfast was served on a square plate again today. :becool:

Enjoying my usual Saturday morning car park watching entertainment. Obviously ownership of an old BMW 7 series gives you permission to use two spaces.

Also 10/10 for the world's bravest taxi driver for using a Jaguar XF. Never seen one being used as a taxi before.

Dry so far and not too cold but showers and high winds forecast. This seems to be the forecast pattern for the next week at least.
MikeG's experience with a policeman reminds me of an annoyance one caused indirectly. I was stuck behind a line of touroid cars creeping along the single track road and the lead car would not give way to overtaking traffic. A police car appeared behind me and after a short wait put on blue lights and siren so I pulled over to let him pass. I thought he would stop the lead car for a bit of "advice" about driving on single track roads as our previous one used to do. Not so as he just continued onwards being late for his lunch.
Nothing planned tho' I could go to the library but not sure I can be bothered.
Got a pack of stewing steak out of the freezer so better get on with sorting that out and converting to several meals for freezing.

Yes, Queen's Road County Primary is 14th on the list. It appears to have changed its name to Royal Park primary at some point. On Google street view, there are some shots dating from 2012 and some from 2022 so, if you move around the perimeter, the school buildings disappear and reappear.
Were you going there the same time you lived on the other side of Leeds(The New York Road area)?
One heck of a trip to school back then.

But of sun as I dragged the ebike out of the shed but then more overcast. Was late getting up so the Waitrose trip was out and back on the east side of the town centre to avoid the traffic on the A61. Going I had forgot to switch the Varia on. So set it going for the return. I was halfway down Humps and a hill before I realised the Elemnt Bolt had not detected it.Normally does when the Varia is switched on late unlike the Garmin. I had only paused the Bolt while shopping.
