Afternoon cuppa went down well
Working day completed

Today went well. Did my 'prepared list' of tying up loose ends jobs. Fitted the rear rack to my Brommy courtesy of Gunk. Went for my shingles & pneumonia jabs, arriving in good time and was done and out before my appointed time - !
Home for tea of leftovers + additions followed by cuppa and a slice of Stollen.
All good so far.

Been having a bit of a spat with Scott's of Stowe. They've failed to answer four e-mails regarding one of their products.
Went on Google to establish the name of the senior manager, but Google doesn't have any current info about Scott's management.
What I did notice that Scott's has an average score of 2.5 stars on Google reviews regarding their customer service.
Why am I not surprised - ?

It's been a brrrrrrrrright and chhhhhhillllly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well after yesterday's exertions. And overslept. I won't say by how much, but whoops! Sorted the fire, emptied the ashes and topped up firewood in the house this morning. Also noticed that some of the job lot of Christmas tangerines were a) looking a bit tired and b) in some cases, a bit bruised and soft. Triaged the whole tray and pulled out a whole mixing bowl of ones that needed using.

Had a lovely luncheon of cranberry-topped pork pie, toast, homemade coronation chicken, fruit and

Afterwards, made that small batch of lemon & tangerine marmalade and cut up the triaged tangerines to make a further batch. I only binned a total of four tangerines (two were a complete loss, the rest were the bits I picked off the others), so not quite the carnage it could have been.

Now having a quiet evening. Food will be a "what's in the fridge" affair tonight.
