Toothache 
Dentist not sure what the cause so prescribed antibiotics. Thankfully had a hospital appointment this afternoon where it was confirmed the antibiotics would not be a problem with my other tablets.
Chemists in Asda hence visited so a touch of shopping done in the otherwise eternal wait. Discovered bags of 5 good oranges are 98p.

Shopping was done this morning in the sunshine with the cloud cover coming over while I was having a second coffee of the day. It is currently very grey and chilly.
Decided to drive up to my sister's and saw the protest convoy of 110 tractors heading in the opposite direction on the A14 on their way back to Felixstowe. As a result I decided to avoid the A14 on my way home just in case - only to get held up for 15 minutes on the old Ipswich Road while the police escorted the convoy into a farm yard gathering point. I thought the final gathering point was going to be in Felixstowe like last time which was one of the reasons for taking the alternative route

Watched some of a YouTube thingy about the 'Buffalo S2' bike especially designed for 'Third World' countries where facilities for repair are very basic. The S2 boasts two chains on separate freewheels married to two chainwheels giving high and low ratios on demand without the complications of derailleur or hub gears.
Apparently, to change from high to low or t'other way 'bout, the rider simply does a half pedal stroke backwards, and the ratios swap automatically.
And the rear carrier can support up to 90kg. - !

It's been a grey and occasionally drizzly day after a cold start.
Slept OK for half the night, but then Madam bagged the middle of the bed, which meant that I ended up with a bare derriere. And I'm also assuming she had something to do with the headless mouse that I stepped on while nipping (half asleep) to the bathroom.
Had a kitchen morning, and the crock pot is locked and loaded with tonight's supper. Well, a batch of suppers. I also fixed mum's lace-making stand. The thread got stripped from the M4 bolt that holds the legs on, fubaring not just the bolt but the wing nut. Had to turn the garage upside down to find a similar sized bolt. I've also added a plastic sleeve and washer and now the thing isn't wobbly.
Salami on toast, fruit and a
for luncheon. Then off to Littleport to drop off the parental's prescription. I wish the parental unit would check the date on the slip rather than just counting tablets, because the slip needs to be put in a week in advance. 
That hoovered up a chunk of my afternoon, so I couldn't turn as much firewood into logs as I had intended. I shall have to finish that task either tomorrow or Wednesday, as I want to empty the trailer so I can go for at least one more load before the weather turns at the end of the week.
I have only just sat down with a and a slice of poppy seed cake.

I'm trying to match the furniture which was damaged in the flood at my father's house with replacements, as requested by his loss adjuster.
Some are OK-ish to match, others nigh-on impossible given some are antiques / bespoke.
A suggested valuation for the jazz record collection appears to have been acceptable. At least I don't have to match hundreds of rare records with sold prices, if they are actually available.
