It's all very well saying that you are going to get people off benefits and working but you have to find employers willing to take them on.

That's the car dropped off at the garage ready for its MOT on Wednesday. Saves getting up early and battling the school run traffic, especially with the garage being almost directly opposite the local shool.

Got home about 14:30 and, having unpacked and the re-stocked the overnight bag ready for the next outing at the end of the month, decided to pop out for an hour on the bike. Fairly breezy and chilly but an enjoyable mixed surface loop of the Felixstowe area. Given the size of this morning's beakfast, I think just a couple of rounds of cheese on toast is all that's needed for tea.

Not murky this morning. Postie delivered an item posted yesterday in Ipswich 2nd class proving Its not worth paying for 1st class.
Amazon arrived early afternoon rather than as late as 9pm as the delivery message threatened with a new TV mount.
Tree choppers then arrived and cut back the overgrowing hedge tree
Post WAH co-op trek for oranges and apples. Definitely a chilly wind.

Mis-read that last sentence bringing a penguin to mind.

Someone turned down the sun and released the icy cold rain today. Still a nice couple of hours on bike today.

It's been a bright, breezy and chilly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept reasonably well. Had a kitchen morning, which resulted with the crock pot being loaded with a casserole for tonight's supper. Madam Lexi thoroughly enjoyed doing the quality control on the meat. The suet was trimmed off and rendered out, and I now have a container of beef dripping to use for frying / roasties etc.

Had a lovely luncheon of toast, taramasalata, wensleydale, fruit and a :cuppa:

A gentle afternoon which involved doing some chores whilst keeping an eye on the happenings at the Cheltenham Festival.

Now sat by the fire with a :cuppa: and a miniature bar of 85% cocoa solids chocolate.

Viva done. Felt like pulling molars without anaesthetic and therefore the student gets moved to the next, more unpleasant, investigation stage.

I need a break as a result so am off out for a coffee and cake.

What did you do to the Viva? 🤔

Another day completed at work. I feel as if we are being micromanaged, having to constantly update spreadsheets to explain when we are going to do what we were going to do anyway, if we didn't have to waste time filling out spreadsheets. I'm sure it makes sense to someone, just not to me.

Despite the lovely start to the day, it has turned out wet. I was questioning why I was wearing my waterproof coat while walking to work this morning as there is a bit of a boil in the bag effect. I reminded myself why I did wear when walking home in the rain.

Did some shopping for bits and pieces I had been putting off buying as I was waiting for the shopping vouchers I get for my quarterly bonus. I can now retire my knackered slippers and move into the comfort zone with my new memory foam ones:becool:

I had been thinking about a ride tonight but it's raining.
