It brightened up quite nicely this afternoon so that I was able to get a brisk 40 mile ride in. Still quite chilly though thanks to a northerly breeze so I'm looking forward to the promised warmth of next week.

A new shower head and hose were fitted before I had my post ride shower. They were then removed, the correct washers installed and everythng re-fitted when more water came out of the fittings than the shower head.

A wonderful couple of hours wandering through the fruit fields. Great joy seeing all the trees in bloom. Watching the creeping increase of vines with mixed feelings.

Then, just a little "head on" with a gormless bird in a Fiat 500. How could she not bother to slow down and try to take me out with her wing mirror?
Think she understood that I wasn't impressed. Well actually afraid. It was a bit rude and heat of the moment.

A bit of a bistsas supper here tonight. The last of the breaded cod, cold, with a dollop of tartare sauce, the last of the beetroot, the last of the pasta and and some cheesy garlic bread.

Watching Selby v Woollaston. Such an absorbing match.

Right, more of the house tidied today as I've made the toilet at least remotely pleasant! 😊🤣

I have also started collecting my washing into bin bags, sorted to type of garment, so I need to do some maHOOSSIVE washes!!

Penultimate working day of the week completed. I worked from home today and it was so nice and peaceful instead of an office full of noisy people.

I had a nice twenty miles after work on the single speed. Weather not quite a nice as yesterday. Some headwind in evidence.

I'm hoping to do a little overnight tour this weekend. Just doing some route planning.

M17 actually, so it's 8 years old, or nearly anyway.

The old crown stamps were abolished years ago and in their place... CE stamps.

It is saying 0126 though, which means it was made in Cheshire... I think...
