Morning.
Sunny here. I'm waiting for my friend to pick me up. We are going to Calne to a model railway exhibition.

Sunny morning and after one coat of nutmeg paint on the trellis and old trough last evening another coat applied.
Washing hung out and now a delayed first ☕of the day. Then to see if the new nutmeg planter is a reasonable match or will that need painting as wel.

Not a bad day so far despite the early start. Plenty of sunshine, loads of watching the countryside go by, a couple of miles walk along the river and, as everyone else is drinking outside in the sunshine, I've got a quiet table inside for a couple of pints.

It's very black and white striped up here.

New planter had to be painted to match That had a slight hiccup of a flying paint tin but still more than enough for the task.
Between coats a new clematis purchased, Prince William no less, and then a lack of store newspaper again in Waitrose.
Took 1 1/2 bags of compost to fill the supplied liner with the clematis positioned, yes I did remember to make some holes
Storage shed eventually repositioned to its normal place and selectively refilled as aside from the strimmers to chuck there were a number of items best stored elsewhere.

It's been a lovely sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Did not have the best night's sleep. And weirdly, I dreamed about fish and chips. No, I don't know why either...

I have had a quiet day watching the BTCC action from Brands. Some fantastic racing, especially in the Minis and Caterhams. First touring car race was a bit meh, the second and third were brilliant. One of my men had a very good day, while the other had the most horrendous brain fart in race 2, which totally sunk the rest of his weekend.

Cheese & onion toasties and fruit for luncheon, and onion bhajis and spicy broccoli for supper. Oh, and lots of :cuppa: of course.

I did toy with chucking in a bid on a Seiko watch on the 'bay as I really liked it and the price was good. Didn't in the end, as it was just that bit *too* bashed and in desperate need of a new crystal. Shame, as it's one of the less common references that I've had my eye on for a little while. Instead, I've saved the pics and made a note of it. One in better condition will turn up eventually.

Now just chilling in bed with the laptop and working on the writing.
